9th General Assembly

The 9th General Assembly of Servitium Christi (Theme: “Gaudete et Exsultate”) takes place at the Emmaus Retreat and Conference Centre, Swords, Co. Dublin, Ireland from 13th May 2019 to 24th May 2019. It will be attended by delegates from Holland, Germany, Czech Republic, Brazil, Chile, Vietnam, the Philippines and the St. Clare Region, together with the out-going General Council and substitute General Council Member Maria Valdebenito.  Ecclesiastical Assistant Fr. Joseph BINH will also attend.

Bishop Martin Tine

It was with mixed emotions that we received the news in July 2018 that our Ecclesiastical Assistant Fr. Martin Boukar Tine sss had been appointed as bishop of Kaolack, Senegal. On one hand, we are so proud, but on the other, we are sad to lose his service with us. The diocese of Kaolack is indeed blessed to have him as their shepherd, and we pray for him in his new ministry, while thanking God for the gift of his services to us.

Ecclesiastical Assistant

In dialogue with Fr. Eugenio Barbosa Martins sss (Superior General, Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament) we are very pleased that Fr. Joseph Vu Quoc BINH sss (Vietnam) has been appointed as Ecclesiastical Assistant, replacing Bishop Martin Tine sss. Fr. Joseph has known Servitium Christi through our Members in Vietnam, and is an experienced Member of the General Council of the Congregation of the Blessed Sacrament. We look forward to working with him and are grateful for his availability to us.

Servitium Christi set down its first roots in Argentina in 2018 with the Devotional Commitment of  Maria Ledda Cava Naiava of Buenos Aires. This new Foundation is under the protection of the Chile Region. Ledda’s Devotional Commitment was attended by Maria Valdebenito (Regional Directress) and Emilina Conoman (Local Directress, Nueva Imperial).
